Gold Burn

As the “burn” part in this application’s name points out, this is a data burning tool. You can use Gold Burn to burn files onto a DVD, to burn files onto a CD, to create an audio CD, to create a video CD, to burn an ISO image, and so on. There’s a bit of extra functionality that must be mentioned here: rip audio CDs, erase discs, access device info, create ISO images.

The minimum system requirements for running Gold Burn are: 500MHZ Pentium 3 processor, 256MB of RAM, 50MB of free disk space, 800x600 16-bit graphics mode, Internet Explorer 6, Windows operating system.
The recommended system requirements for running Gold Burn are: 1GHz processor or better, 512MB of RAM or more, at least 100MB of free disk space, 1024x768 true color graphics mode, Internet Explorer 7 or newer, Windows operating system.

The functionality you can expect to get from Gold Burn is very nicely and quite conveniently displayed on its interface. On the left hand side you will notice large icons that group the functionality into four categories: Data, Music, Video, and Tools. Select a category and you will be presented with the functionality grouped under that category. Click on Music, for example, and you will be presented with the option to create an audio CD and the option to grab audio tracks from an audio CD.

There is a lot you can do with Gold Burn: burn data onto CDs or DVDs, burn audio CDs, rip audio CDs, burn video CDs and DVDs, erase CDs and DVDs, view info about your CD and DVD devices, burn ISO images, create ISO images, grab ISO images. The nice thing is that wizards will help you access all the application’s functionality. A wizard will help you create an ISO image, a wizard will help you rip an audio CD, a wizard will help you burn data onto a DVD, and so on.

The Gold Burn trial version is limited to 10 executions.
